Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from BLAXSTAR, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the web. Accessibility isn't a one-time checkbox for us — it's something we keep working on as the Store grows.

The standard we aim for

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely-used benchmark for web accessibility. That's a target we work toward continuously, not a claim that every page is perfect today.

What we've built in

  • Keyboard access. Menus, the cart, the cookie preferences panel, and other interactive panels can be opened, used, and closed with a keyboard alone, with focus kept inside open dialogs and returned to where you were once they close.
  • Screen reader support. Pages use semantic headings and landmarks, interactive controls have accessible names, and product images carry descriptive alt text.
  • Visible focus. Interactive elements show a clear focus outline when navigated to with a keyboard.
  • Reduced motion. Animated elements (like scrolling announcements) respect your system's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Color & theme. The Store supports both light and dark themes, follows your system preference by default, and we aim for sufficient color contrast in both.

Known limitations

Some parts of checkout and sign-in hand off to our payment processor (Stripe) and authentication provider; their pages are built and maintained by those companies, and while both invest heavily in accessibility, we don't control their implementation directly. If you run into a barrier anywhere on the Store itself, we want to know — please see below!

Let us know

If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on blaxstar.net, or need help completing an order in a different way, email a11y@blaxstar.net with the page and what happened. We'll do our best to fix it and get back to you.
